Location: Surrey (Hybrid Working Available)

An established and successful organisation is currently searching for a Tax & Finance Projects Accountant to join it’s Finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant with tax experience who wants to broaden their exposure across VAT, Corporation Tax, financial accounting and project work within a commercial environment.
The Role:
Working closely with the Tax Manager, you will support all aspects of UK tax compliance whilst contributing to wider finance projects and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Supporting Corporation Tax reporting and compliance
- Assisting with tax accounting, including current and deferred tax
- Preparing tax reconciliations and supporting financial reporting
- Maintaining compliance with HMRC requirements
- Liaising with external advisers and internal stakeholders
- Supporting finance projects and process improvements
- Assisting with treasury and financial accounting activities when required
About You:
- Experience preparing VAT returns
- Knowledge of UK Corporation Tax
- Experience within tax compliance, practice, industry or HMRC
- Understanding of tax accounting principles
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- A proactive and self-motivated approach
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience with tax software such as Alphatax and knowledge of partial exemption would be advantageous.
