- Stock Controller
£29,000 - £34,000 basic + benefits package, including retailer discounts
London N16, Monday-Friday, KPI bonuses
Are you looking for a new stock controller role, with also some operational duties put into the mix.?
Would you be happy being in charge of all stock activities and movement between three retail divisions, as well as any device rentals and repairs.?
Responsibilities:
Allocating and dispatching stock, both physically and onto database for internal tracking processes
Stock replenishment – ensuring no “stockouts” occur
Order fulfilment – liaising with all departments to ensure orders are managed quickly and accurately for them
Quality control – regular quality checks on both in and outgoing products to make sure they reflect the company standards
Supplier collaboration – liaise with suppliers with regards to tracking status, lead times to be aware of any potential delays
Returns and defects – managing the process of returns, defects and warranty claims and all associated documents
Identify any process improvements - keep a look out for any potential workflow changes that could improve your service to and visa-versa from other departments to help improve the overall service given and received
Inventory - maintaining and updating internal systems ensuring that all products and prices are up to date on inventory management system and internal price lists
Reporting – on stock levels, inventory turnaround and other ad-hoc projects for management as required and reporting on any trends / patterns you might recognise occurring more/less often
Required skills and abilities:
Ideally 2 years proven experience in inventory or stock control, and also software and systems awareness.
Very organised and able to keep accurate records
Very good communicator, able to keep everyone updated at all stages on order status and movements
Confident using Microsoft applications, including Excel and Outlook on a daily basis.
Due to the nature of the role, you need to be aware of the lifting and stock movement elements - which on occasions, could be a large proportion of the daily duties inline with seasonal demands.
