Role Overview:
As the Fundraising Manager, you will be a vital part of the fundraising team, responsible for securing essential funding. Your role will encompass various fundraising strategies, from grants and corporate funders to community fundraising and capital projects. You will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with the organisation's plans.
Key Responsibilities:
Securing fundraising target
Develop and maintain an active pipeline of potential and repeat supporters
Create and maintain a compelling case for support
Develop and submit tailored applications and proposals to potential funders
Regularly report on progress against annual fundraising targets
Grants and corporate funders
Manage key grant maker and corporate relationships
Report to existing funders as required
Engage with and host existing and prospective partners on-site or pitch to them
Collaborate effectively with teams to manage relationships with current funders
Community fundraising
Manage existing community-based fundraising relationships
Galvanise community supporters through expert stewardship
Create and maintain a compelling case for reinvestment and engagement
Meet and communicate with key community funders and supporters
Capital Fundraising
Develop and maintain an active pipeline of potential supporters for capital projects
Create and maintain a compelling case for support for capital projects
Develop and submit tailored applications and proposals to potential funders
Fundraising development and innovation
Explore new sources of funding, such as crowdfunding, challenge events, individual supporters, and digital giving
Design and deliver fundraising opportunities that align with organisational goals
Corporate Responsibilities:
Contribute to team meeting and planning sessions
Contribute to annual plans and budgets
Report regularly on actual versus planned performance
Support ongoing professional development
Understand and support the vision, mission, and aims of the organisation
Promote diversity and inclusion in all duties and working relationships
Experience, Knowledge & Skills:
Experience in fundraising, providing high levels of stewardship
Proven track record of meeting personal fundraising income targets
Strong workload management and prioritisation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with internal stakeholders to achieve fundraising objectives
