- Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a leading Media company in Uxbridge who are in search of an Events & Operations Manager to join their growing team.
Are you an experienced Events & Operations Manager ready to take on an exciting new challenge? We are seeking a dynamic individual to support our clients Events & Operations Director in planning, managing, coordinating, and delivering a rolling program of events.
As an Events & Operations Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless execution of events and daily operations.
Please note: Candidates with a background in B2B events management is preferable however we will also consider people with strong organisation and administration skills as full training is provided.

Key responsibilities:
Event Planning and Execution:
Plan, organise, and execute a variety of events, including conferences
Coordinate all event logistics, such as venue selection, catering, audio-visual equipment, transportation, and accommodations
Develop event budgets, monitor expenses, and negotiate contracts with vendors to optimise cost-efficiency
Ensure that events are executed flawlessly, meeting all established objectives and timelines
Provide on-site leadership during events to handle any issues or emergencies
Undertake various clerical and administrative tasks as requested
Team Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise event staff and operations personnel
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members and ensure proper coordination
Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members
Facility and Resource Management:
Maintain and manage facilities to ensure they are safe, well-maintained, and conducive to events and daily operations
Oversee the procurement and inventory management of event-related supplies and equipment
Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to streamline processes and improve efficiency
Vendor and Stakeholder Relations:
Build and maintain relationships with event vendors, suppliers, and service providers
Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors to secure favourable terms and pricing
Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders to meet event and operational objectives
Budgeting and Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets for events and operations, tracking expenses and revenue
Identify opportunities to reduce costs and increase revenue
Prepare financial reports and forecasts for senior management
Skills required:
Creative, pro-active, and organised
Outstanding written and verbal communication with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
Excellent attention to detail
Good Excel skills and data entry
Strong work ethic
Excellent organisational and time management skills
Confidential and trustworthy approach to work
High level of professionalism
Analytical, logical, and tenacious
Good copywriting skills
Understanding of social media, particularly LinkedIn
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
CRM experience (Salesforce) desirable but not essential
UK Driving licence desirable but not essential
Ad hoc travel to events across the UK, however, most events are based in London, flexibility is essential
