- Lloyd Recruitment Services is working with a market leading global manufacturer based in Kent. They are looking to recruit a dedicated and customer-oriented individual to join the support department.
The Customer Support Specialist will be responsible for providing desk-based customer and technical support to their valued customers. This role encompasses a wide range of tasks, from assisting customers with detailed technical issues to resolving simple software setup problems and providing online training on the use of their equipment.
The role encompasses both hardware, (mechanical and electrical), and Software (Setup, installation, networking and troubleshooting bespoke software).

Key responsibilities:
Provide exceptional desk-based customer support via phone, email, or chat
Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues related to the companies products and services. Mechanical and Software based
Guide customers through complex technical problems with patience and professionalism
Assist with software setup and configuration, ensuring smooth operation
Deliver online training sessions to educate customers on equipment usage and best practices
Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions through the inhouse Ticketing system
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues
Stay up-to-date with product knowledge and industry trends
Continuously strive to enhance the customer support experience
Qualifications, skills, and preferences:
A qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred
Previous technical and customer support experience preferred
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues while maintaining a professional demeanour
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
Strong personal commitment to quality and customer service
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
IT literate with a good working knowledge of Windows-based software; ideally, knowledge of SQL databases
Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electromechanical equipment with PC-based remote support
Familiarity with PC-based software support, including basic networking, database setup, and software installation
Strong multitasking skills and good organisational abilities
Ability to remain calm and focused under occasionally high-stress situations
The successful candidate must have an indefinite leave to remain in the UK.
