Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Web Designer to join their growing team.
Purpose of the role
A creative designer to fit into our clients web team, your role will be design based in our clients office, working with their developers offshore and in house, to standard modern web disciplines to implement your designs.
You should be experience and efficient in creating and designing web ready work for use in websites across multiple brands. You will take the lead in building user journey and improving conversions by using your innovative modern ideas. You will work closely with the digital marketing team and will be required to produce mailshots and other design-based content for social platforms.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities
Create eye-catching and clean website designs that work to modern standards
To improve website conversions
Analyse user journey
To work with marketing teams to increase conversions and enquiries
Create HTML, CSS for your design work and work alongside our dev team
Design adaptive and responsive websites
Understanding of, and the ability to deliver wed page designs that fit within the Google Core Web Vitals principles
Attend design meetings and work with department managers
To assist in our digital strategy with marketing staff
Assisting programmers with any frontend help they require (bootstrap, HTML and CSS)
Creating and supplying artwork to the business for various marketing purposes
Developing persuasive e-mail designs for email marketing
Must have the ability to turn a brief into an eye-catching winning design and then into html and CSS and to work with our dev team to turn your concepts into a reality. Ability to deliver a strong creative marketing message in your designs is essential, with excellent marketing and attention- grabbing grammar. The ability to monitor, interpret and react to the results of your design is essential to evolve and grow our clients website conversions
They will be looking for commercial experience and a proven track record in this field, along with experience in the retail industry (desirable)
At times you will be required to use your design skills to assist our sales and marketing team in the production of winning presentations, mailshots and other ad-hoc graphics
Essential:
HTML, CSS, Bootstrap Knowledge of MS Office package
Mailchimp and Joomla would be advantage
Google Analytics and Search Console experience would be desirable
Ideally, you will have a design portfolio of your own work to show us as part of the application process
Good MS Windows skills
Advantageous Skills but not essential:
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom) -but they are open to switch you into other design tools of your preference
Joomla, WordPress
MS Office Word/PowerPoint Google analytics
Key personal skills:
Motivated, flexible, and organised, with an ability to work under pressure
Proven ability to communicate effectively within the team and the business
Work well within a team and able to take feedback on board
Ability to multi-task and prioritise
Excellent time management skills and a desire to work towards deadlines
A quality focussed mindset
Proven experience of working to a design brief
