Description


Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a reputable business in Crawley who are currently in search of a Head of Marketing to join their team on a 12-month fixed term contract basis.



This is a full-time role working Monday – Friday

Role Description:



The Head of Marketing is a key member of the management team, leading the marketing strategy and is accountable for all marketing-related activity for the business. The Head of Marketing will support the regional and global sales teams to drive new business and will partner closely with the Product team to launch new products. The Head of Marketing will be expected to plan and deliver all marketing activity and manage the Digital Marketing Manager. The role will include developing and delivering highly effective multi-channel integrated marketing campaigns, regular PR, focused product marketing support and collateral and reporting.



Key Responsibilities:




  • Developing and implementing the marketing and brand strategy for the Business in line with business unit strategy


  • Organising and delivering trade shows


  • Setting and managing the annual marketing budget


  • Managing the outside agencies supporting the Business to ensure effective, co-ordinated, delivery to all stakeholders (in particular Sales, Product, and senior management), including effective lead generation campaigns


  • Developing structured and valuable insights on target market segments and customers, key trends and competitor activities, conducting market research and adjusting marketing activities as needed in response


  • Managing internal and external data, measuring, monitoring and analysing appropriate data to optimise campaign activity and effectiveness, messaging, and overall marketing and sales effectiveness


  • Negotiating with external agencies and other suppliers for cost-effective production of materials and delivery of value-add services


  • Managing marketing materials in line with marketing plans, creation, publication, maintenance, and reviewing effectiveness at appropriate times


  • Overseeing effective PR content generation and distribution campaigns, lead generation activities, exhibition attendances, and all other marketing activity


  • Supporting new product launches, including campaigns and development of customer- and Sales-centric product data sheets, clear proposition value statements and other collateral


  • Identifying and communicating potential new business opportunities to company stakeholders


  • Reporting on the effectiveness of Sales and Marketing activities through relevant and insightful KPIs


  • Maintaining effective internal communications to ensure that relevant stakeholders are kept informed of marketing objectives and activities


  • Evaluating and refining the organisation’s social media presence



Qualifications and Experience:




  • Degree or professional qualification in Marketing


  • Ideally with a minimum of 5 or more years’ experience in Marketing, ideally including time in both an agency and in-house


  • Significant proven experience of creation, ownership and delivery in B2B or similar role within a complex business working across multiple channels


  • Evidence of successful alignment of marketing activity to short- and long-term business objectives


  • Demonstrable product marketing – defining proposition, launching new products


  • A proven track record of multi-channel creative campaign execution from strategizing and media planning to execution and analytics, including advertising, direct marketing and digital


  • Strong project management and people management ability


  • Working knowledge of web analytics tools e.g. Google Analytics, Web Trends
