- Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a global engineering company in the Uckfield area who are looking to recruit a Marketing Director to join their team.
As part of this company’s expansion the Marketing Director will establish the strategy and ensure its effectiveness and execution within the approved budget. From product launches, deep dive into specific market segments or sales animations activities, the Marketing Director will focus on lead generation (through campaigns) and strengthening the company’s image and brand name.

The Marketing department is made of 4 marketing executives based in UK and Spain. The successful candidate will work closely with various internal departments within the organisation such as product management, business development and regional sales entities. They will provide regular reports on activity level, progress of the different activities and actuals Vs budget.
This is a hands-on role that will have you involved in global trade fairs, organisation of an annual sales event and large product launch event as well as the organisation of regular webinars. The Marketing Director will be responsible to support and approve the regional marketing budgets which amount to around 1m€ per annum.
Main responsibilities:
Managing a team of 4 marketing (2 in UK and 2 in Barcelona)
Creation of the marketing plans
Creating annual marketing Budget
Productions of marketing literatures - brochures, PDS, guides
Marketing tools - videos, 3D configurator, references, and picture library
Web Presence - Website & SEO, Intranet & Partner portals
Social Media Presence – strategy, content creation/distribution, lead generation via campaign / optimisation
PR - creating editorial content, press releases
Internal communication
Marketing of exhibitions
Product launches & market segment events - conceptualisation, organisation, packaging
Performance management - KPIs and success factors for core marketing activities - Lead tracking activities
Experience:
Extensive experience as marketing manager (5 years minimum)
Management of multisite experienced professionals under a strong team spirit
Analytical with ability to design and execute strategic plans
Capacity to drive and coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders
Capacity to take strategic business decisions and plan for their impact
Highly Structured and organised
Proven experience in event organisation
Deep knowledge and understanding of Web design, maintenance, optimisation
Deep knowledge and understanding of online marketing
Strong understanding of sales process and ability to define marketing tools
Must be fluent written and spoken English
Occasional travel will be a part of this role
Proven track record in the development of digital marketing tools (desirable)
Additional languages such as French, Spanish would be advantageous
