- Data Warehouse Developer
We are pleased to be working with a well renowned company who are recruiting a Data Warehouse Developer on a temporary basis, up until March 2022. This is an office based role, located in Epsom.
As a Data Warehouse Developers, you will support the MIS Data Warehouse infrastructure and report requirements on behalf of the company. You will also carry out impact analysis, develop and implement project and change management requests within targets.
The responsibilities of a Data Warehouse Developer:
Data Warehouse Support
Carry out routine quality checks as agreed with Data Services Manager and provide recommendations for improvements.
Understand the strategy, design and concept of the UK Data Warehouse and suggest ideas of improvement to the Data Services Manager.
Working with BI Developers to develop, support and enhance ETL and data warehouses to support the Business need.
Ensure that the data extracts, cubes and reports meet the business, functional, performance and availability requirements.
Provide ad-hoc reporting support and guidance to the Business Departments as required.
Carry out continual reviews and maintenance of the UK Data Warehouse documentation.
Project and Change Management
Provide estimates of timescales for the work on behalf of the UK MIS Team.
Carry out impact assessments, with specifications, for project and change requests according to timescales agreed with the Data Services Manager.
Develop the project and change request requirements according to agreed specifications and target dates in line with prioritisation and plans.
Design test data and results, in conjunction with the Business in order to fully test the data extracts, reports and cubes pre-production.
Assist the UK Test Team on the testing of deliverables.
Work with UK IT Development Business Analysts to understand the reporting requirements of relevant project and change requests to ensure reporting impacts are correctly understood and impact assessments thereon understood.
Perform post implementation reviews of the project and change requests to ensure met business expectations.
If you have knowledge in Data Warehouse methodologies, techniques and modelling and have expert understanding of Oracle database operations, as well as experience in the duties listed above, apply now!
