- IT Service Desk Analyst 1st Line - Manchester
Temporary 12-week assignment
** £12.82 p/hour ** Mon to Fri 8 to 4pm or 9-5pm ** PAYE arrangement ** weekly pay ** Holiday and Pension contributions **
We are looking for someone to be a single point of contact for all IT related queries, incidents and service requests, for both internal and external customers, for our expanding client based in Manchester (M27).
You’ll be joining a team of others, and will be responsible for providing advice, technical support and logging all interactions onto their in-house system, and escalating incidents if/where appropriate with more experienced colleagues.
Responsibilities:
Provide front line customer support – predominately in a Microsoft based environment, Office 365, mobile phones and various in-house applications
Previous experience of remote user assistance.
Workstation configuration and re-builds
Monitor and maintain Windows Swerver and Workstation operating systems – physical and virtual
Network related skills such as managing DNS entries, patching data points and Wi-Fi issues are a must
Speaking with customers via phone and email
Liaise with directors and team members to ensure all queries are dealt with in a timely manner
Develop, monitor, improve and provide advice on all things IT
Skills & Experience:
Active Directory – creating and modification of users, security groups, contacts and distribution groups
Exchange – including creating and modifying user mailboxes, shared mailboxes, PST exports, distribution lists and contacts.
Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation operating systems.
Experience with SQL (Structured Query Language)
