The Role
As a 1st Line Technician, you'll be the first point of contact for IT support issues, delivering excellent service and ensuring users receive prompt and effective solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing 1st Line technical support via phone, email and ticketing systems
- Troubleshooting hardware, software and networking issues
- Supporting Microsoft 365 applications and services
- Setting up and configuring laptops, desktops and mobile devices
- Managing user accounts and permissions
- Escalating more complex issues to senior engineers when required
- Maintaining accurate ticket updates and documentation
- Delivering an excellent customer experience at every interaction
About You
We're open to candidates from MSP’s or internal IT support environments. The most important thing is that you have a solid grounding in IT support and the desire to keep learning.
You'll ideally have:
- At least 12 months' experience in a 1st Line IT Support role
- Experience working within an MSP or internal IT environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows operating systems
- Basic networking knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- A proactive and positive attitude
- The ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential due to location)
