An exciting opportunity has become available to join the New Business Sales Support team working for our client based in Redhill.
Reporting to the Sales Support Team Manager, you will assist in the management of 10 team members to ensure all aspects of daily work are achieved continuously.
You will be required to review on-boarding applications for new and existing supporting car dealerships and make recommendations on decisions to approve / decline appointments and existing relationships, dependant on their financial stability and other contributing factors.
Provide Sales Support Management cover and report to the Funding & Sales Support Operations Manager / Head of Department where required.
Provide support, develop and guide the team to ensure they are skilled and motivated to deliver and maximise performance. Responsible for ensuring the team are always considering the best outcome for our customers.
Duties:
To assist with the management, coaching and mentoring of the team
Prioritising the team’s workload and allocating resource accordingly, to ensure that all service levels are achieved.
Develop and manage relationships with all Stakeholders.
Effectively execute HR procedures and processes including but is not limited to recruitment, monthly appraisals, and absence management
To review and recommend new dealer set up applications. Ability to evaluate both full and abbreviated Company Accounts in order to support decision making.
Ensure all monthly reporting is generated and distributed across the business, adhering to agreed SLA’s.
Ensure monthly team tasks have been fulfilled by reconciling tasks against business MI.
Review and monitor on-boarding process to effectively manage risk and adhere to all Regulatory controls.
To proactively develop, build and maintain flexible working relationships in order to ensure effective operation of the team. Promotes trust, openness, honesty and fair dealing.
Manage all ad hoc tasks as and when requested by the Sales Support Manager
Deal with or escalate any identified risks in relation to Santander Consumer risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with the Santander UK group risk framework.
Experience:
Must have prior team management experience.
Ability to multi task and manage your own work
Well-developed balance sheet and P&L accounting skills and related controls is desirable.
Experience of the regulatory environment associated with Consumer Credit activities
Ability to coach and mentor a team.
Decisive and an inquisitive manner
Highly organised and possess strong planning skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
Must be pro-active and receptive to change.
Ability to manage multiple, conflicting interests and deadlines.
Enthusiastic, self-motivated and a positive attitude.
