- Lloyd recruitment services are pleased to be working with a leading company based in East Grinstead. Due to ongoing success and growth of the organisation, there is now a requirement for an Insight Editor to join the team.
The Insight Editor will be central to the operation of the content team.
Working closely with the Content Director, the Insight Editor will plan, commission, write, edit and ensure timely delivery of an expanding series of topic and technology guides and in-depth industry reports. The Insight Editor will be responsible for gathering and analysing market intelligence to define research parameters and topics, and will liaise with third-party partners and sponsors to ensure a smooth-running production of all sponsored content.
As a relatively varied and wide-ranging role, the Insight Editor will also maintain regular communications with the rest of the editorial team and be expected to contribute to news, features, podcasts, webinars and live events when required.
Key Success Criteria:
Increased audience engagement through quality, technical and insight-led content and reports, evidenced by growing download numbers and more repeat website visits from the core audience
Good client relationships, evidenced by the timely delivery of market-leading sponsored content, from conception to end product
A commercially successful business media brand, driven through the execution of an agreed content plan and the proactive development of new content formats linked to products and events
Responsibilities:
Plan, write and edit an ongoing series of sponsored technical reports, industry guides, and case studies – for both the strategic and operational/technical levels
Gather market intelligence through industry surveys and events, and writing in-depth analysis for online articles and insight reports
Visualise outputs, working closely with designers on the layout of reports and guides
Manage the delivery of awards content including the finalists’ brochure and winners’ report
Optimise all the above for the web, considering SEO and promotion across social media channels
Contribute to news, feature and multimedia content, working with the editorial team
Contribute to the growth and content outputs of the sustainable business campaign
Key skills:
Excellent organisational and time-management skills, especially in forward-planning, project management and handling multiple deadlines
Strong B2B journalistic competencies with a focus on producing in-depth industry analysis and technical content in a self-sufficient manner
An affinity for in-depth journalism and a rigorous attention to detail through written copy and data analysis
Commissioning skills, from writing briefs to ensuring deadlines are met
Good commercial grounding and a creative approach to new commercial ideas
Strong communication skills and able to work effectively with others in a close-knit editorial team and across the brand
Strong web production, SEO optimisation and social media skills
Good interpersonal skills and able to represent the brand well across the company and at industry events
