We are looking for individuals to join an expanding team, where you will be liaising with individuals finding themselves in need of initial assistance and support over the phone.
Basic salary £25k - £30k
The department works 24/7, and everyone’s shifts are split four on, four off – days: 7.30am-7.30pm / nights: 7.30pm-7.30am
Working in this friendly team, you be using your clear and confident communication skills fully, and ability to remain calm when under pressure, as some calls will require a number of different avenues to explore before signing off.
Duties:
Taking incoming calls gaining as much info as possible and imputing information onto database to ensure all activities are current for all sources.
Being a friendly voice on the end of the phone while advising the best course of action.
Ascertaining and understanding the nature of the call i.e. urgent or non-urgent and passing to relevant department.
Key skills needed:
Excellent interpersonal skills with positive telephone manner
Able to keep calm when handling urgent calls, keeping all parties updated on actions being taken
Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions
Ability to retain information and record facts quickly during calls
Previous experience in a call centre or working with vulnerable people would be an advantage – although, full training is provided
