- Are you ready to thrive in a dynamic retail environment? Lloyd Recruitment Services are seeking a dedicated individual to join our clients well establish company in East Grinstead. As an integral part of our team, you'll collaborate across all departments, reporting to the Store Manager for guidance. As the Retail Sales Assistant, you will be pivotal in delivering exceptional customer service while promoting their company culture.

Salary: £22,000 - £26,000 DOE
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, spread over 5 days

Your responsibilities:
Engage proactively with customers, interpret cues, and respond effectively
Establish memorable customer connections by asking pertinent questions to understand their needs and making tailored product recommendations
Demonstrate expert product knowledge and take initiative when required
Actively drive sales and promote cross-selling to enhance revenue
Guide the sales process from initiation to completion, involving supplier orders, customer communication, and post-sales support
Address and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly
Operate cash registers, manage point of sale transactions, and ensure drawer balance
Utilise software tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) for document preparation, including customer/supplier communication, invoices, sales/stock records, price tickets, and promotional materials
Monitor and maintain accuracy of the company website to reflect available in-store products
Manage supplier invoices, reconcile discrepancies, and request credit notes when needed
Attend occasional buying shows, fostering relationships with supplier representatives
Stay updated on current trends to contribute to stock planning
Participate in store/online promotions planning and execution
Contribute to creative window and shop floor displays
Assist with stock taking to maintain inventory accuracy
Ensure the sales floor's cleanliness and visual appeal
Handle phone inquiries and customer queries promptly
Adhere to company policies and regulations outlined in the company handbook
Undertake reasonable duties as directed by management
