- Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with a well-established publishing company. This company is a leading organiser of B2B exhibitions and conferences and a publisher of market-leading magazines and directories, they have conceptualised, developed and launched some of the most respected live events and publications in the world, truly supporting the industries that they serve.
 
 The Role of the Sales Manager:
 
 You will be responsible for leading an annual exhibition and driving forward the commercial success of this extremely exciting event. This is large annual exhibition and extremely popular in its field. You will also be selling the advertising space on the supporting magazine and website. This is an extremely hands on role so you will not only be responsible for the sales of the products but also assisting colleagues ensuring the whole brand is continually successful.
 
 Key skills:
 
 Ideally you will have a background in outbound sales / field sales experience looking for a varied role where no two days are the same.

 £30K – £40K depending on experience plus bonus

 What you will be doing...
 
 
 Building close working relationships with clients face to face and over the phone
 Making outbound calls to generate new business
 Attending regular client meetings
 Field sales
 Sending out contracts to clients
 Attending global exhibitions and networking
 Understanding the needs of the clients and matching these to a portfolio of products
 Working towards achievable sales targets in a non-pushy sales environment
 Selling in a consultative manner
 Researching competitors’ products to increase sales opportunities
 Working towards targets (not heavy KPI’s /micromanagement)
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 What you will need:
 
 
 A solid background in sales
 Polite and friendly phone manner
 The want to succeed and develop a career in media sales
 Ability to work to and achieve set targets
 Confidence to pick up the phone and build great client relationships
 Experience in new business development
 Good administrative capabilities
