What you will need:
The Sales person will be responsible for business development, exhibition stand sales and sponsorship sales for international trade events. The ideal candidate should have previous sales experience, a good telephone and face-to-face manner and be able to build relationships and account manage existing clients, as well as developing new ones. The job will involve international travel and there will be busy times during the events when a hard-working attitude will be essential.
There is a bonus and commission scheme associated to this role and the successful candidate needs to be enthusiastic and pro-active about reaching achievable targets.
What you will do:
Manage and record day-to-day sales activities within a CRM system
Pro-active sales to new and existing clients – from cold calling to face-to-face meetings and entertaining
Effective communication with clients to ensure that return bookings are achieved, and clients are looked after throughout the event cycle
The ability to close deals and hit revenue targets is essential for anyone taking on this
Account management onsite at events to make sure that your clients are well looked after
Enthusiasm to work as a team player within the department and alongside the marketing, operations and accounts departments
Ability to engage with a global client base
Skills/experience required:
Good sales skills and experience
Good organisation skills
Time management and ability to work on different projects simultaneously
Ability to work within a target driven marketplace
Ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
Self-motivated, eager to achieve and get results
Good team working ethics, but also able to work individually
Confident telephone manner and able to build solid client relationships
Interpersonal skills
Appreciation of international cultures/foreign languages
Previous experience of sales (essential)
Event experience (desirable)
Educated to degree level (desirable)
