- Lloyd Recruitment Services are currently working with a leading organisation based in the East Grinstead area. Due to ongoing success and growth of the company, there is now a requirement for a motivated and experiences Commercial Executive to join the team.
As part of this team you will be responsible for driving advertising sales and generating revenue through opportunities, such as print, digital and sponsorship, for a long standing and market leading magazine. The magazine is very well known and is a true market leader!
The main focus of the successful applicant will be on ensuring the monthly advertising sales targets are achieved by building long term professional partnerships with new and existing clients.
You will be tasked with developing and implementing new opportunities to grow revenue, by taking advantage of new channels, new markets and new business developments. You will be selling both direct to businesses as well as through agencies.
This is a face to face and telephone sales based role. 60% on the road and 40% office based.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for selling advertising space within the display section of the magazine
Increasing the yield for existing advertisers, as well as achieving / exceeding the target yield for all new advertisers
Responsible for cross selling through all marketing channels, including digital, email / Newsletter, Sponsorship, Directories and events
Build partnerships with new and existing clients to add long term mutual benefit, identifying ways to actively meet their advertising needs and grow revenue
Contribute to the smooth and efficient management of the advertising sales process
Be responsible for delivery of artwork to specification and in a timely manner
Required skills / experience:
Able to demonstrate success in a previous sales position, within the publishing sector (preferable although not essential). A Proven track record is essential
Self-motivated, willing to go above and beyond in order to deliver revenue targets
Credible and consistent approach
Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation
Excellent organisational skills, with good time management a must
Proactive and able to think logically, objectively and creatively
Comfortable working under pressure and on multiple projects simultaneously
Confidence to challenge and be challenged in a fast paced environment
Commitment and enthusiasm to drive through change
Team player able to work within a multi-disciplinary team
Good understanding of financial performance drivers
Preferred knowledge, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe In-design, (Illustrator and Photoshop desired, not essential)
Knowledge of marketing (desired, not essential)
Proficient in using CRM
Overnight stays at major event/meetings are required from time to time - You will be required to spend approximately 40% of your time in the office and 60% on the road.
Salary of £28K - £32K DOE plus car and commission
