- Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a well-established and reputable company on the outskirts of Uckfield who are currently seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join their team on a fulltime, permanent basis.
Position Summary:
The role of Financial Accountant offers a dynamic opportunity to oversee and enhance the financial landscape of the business. You will play a pivotal role in aligning financial strategies with the Company's objectives, ensuring a robust financial performance, and guiding the company toward profitability and long-term success within the finance and accounts domain.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:
Develop and implement the long-term strategic business plan in collaboration with the local leadership team
Foster business partnerships with key functions/teams to enhance financial acumen and facilitate well-informed decision-making
Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks
Maintain constant awareness of the company's financial position and take proactive measures to prevent problems
Set targets for and supervise UK accounting and finance personnel, overseeing audit and internal control operations
Prepare annual budgets and forecasts in collaboration with all elements of the business
Generate timely and detailed reports on financial performance at regular intervals
Conduct analysis for forecasts and report to the executive team
Manage standard costing, cash flow forecasting, and maintain up-to-date COGS while regularly reviewing RRP
Provide coaching and leadership to direct reports, ensuring their continuous development and clear growth pathways
Document regular performance reviews, annual reviews, and conduct regular personal/career development discussions with direct reports in line with the agreed Performance Management Process.
Build, guide, and coach teams to deliver work output within timeline and budget constraints
Skills required:
Exceptional communication skills (written and oral), coupled with high-level interpersonal skills and sound judgment
Strong stakeholder management abilities, capable of handling multiple stakeholders and prioritising competing tasks
Proven problem-solving capability
Excellent time management, organisation, and prioritisation skills
Demonstrated skills in team leadership and developing individuals for optimal performance
Ability to influence, manage, and challenge ideas and existing business processes
Experience in implementing systems and/or process changes, along with training initiatives
Strategic thinking combined with effective leadership skills and the ability to make profitable decisions
Analytical mindset with strategic acumen
Experience required:
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or in a similar role
Financial oversight of commercial teams, factory/operations, costing, and finance
CIMA/ACCA qualification
