As the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the company, ensuring financial health, and demonstrating compliance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy and Planning:
Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company's long-term goals
Collaborate with the Board of Directors to create and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts
Provide financial analysis and recommendations to optimise profitability and improve financial performance
Offer sound financial advice on how business decisions may impact cash flow, forecasted revenue, and financial targets
Financial Management:
Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, payroll, and financial reporting
Implement and maintain robust financial controls and processes for accuracy, compliance, and risk mitigation
Monitor and analyse financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost-saving opportunities
Prepare and present regular financial reports to the Board of Directors
Budgeting and Forecasting:
Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads
Monitor budget adherence and provide variance analysis reports
Conduct financial modelling and forecasting to support strategic initiatives and new business opportunities
Lead in forecasting cash flows and predicting financial trends for the overall financial health of the business
Financial Compliance and Risk Management:
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, laws, and accounting standards
Oversee tax planning, reporting, and compliance activities
Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory bodies
Mitigate financial risks by identifying potential issues and implementing appropriate controls
Team Leadership and Development:
Implement process efficiencies to optimise financial processes and team efficiency
Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting professional growth
Provide guidance and support in resolving complex financial issues
Promote cross-functional collaboration with other departments to achieve business objectives
Qualifications:
ACCA qualified (desirable but not essential)
A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field
Extensive financial management experience in a commercial, client-driven industry
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or a similar role
Demonstrable experience of financial change management to drive efficiency
Extensive experience working with a Board of Directors or Executive Committee
