Description

Are you a skilled Maintenance/Handyman looking for an exciting opportunity? Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a luxury goods manufacturer on the outskirts of Horley who are seeking an all-round handyman to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
 
The Maintenance/Handyman will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our client’s facilities, machinery, and equipment. If you are a proactive problem-solver who enjoys a hands-on role, we invite you to apply.
 
Location: Outskirts of Horley – must be driver due to location

What’s in it for you?
 



  • Up to £33k depending on experience

  • Monday to Friday 8:30am-17:00pm

  • 20 days plus bank holiday

Main Accountabilities and Preferred Skills:
 



  • Identify and Report Repairs:Recognise and report the need for major repairs, and proactively find practical and cost-effective solutions to ensure uninterrupted business operations

  • Minor Maintenance:Handle minor maintenance tasks independently, such as fixing taps, changing light bulbs, and constructing shelves as required

  • Coordination:Collaborate with the Compliance Officer and Office staff to manage external contractors performing maintenance and repairs

  • Inspections:Conduct scheduled workplace, machinery, and equipment inspections, maintaining compliance records

  • Record Keeping:Maintain comprehensive records of all maintenance and repair work performed


 
Office and Warehouse Support:



  • Goods In/Out:Assist the Office team with goods in/goods out activities, including supervising container unloading and handling palletised goods from trucks

  • Quality Assurance:Support Quality Assurance with tasks such as candle test burning and other quality assurance activities as needed

  • Warehouse Assistance:Aid the Warehouse staff with stock and goods movement, oversee warehouse operations, maintain forklifts and other machinery, and perform general building repairs as required.


 
Candidate Preferred Skills:



  • Forklift License (Preferred):Ideally, possess a current forklift license. If not already qualified, the candidate should be willing to undergo forklift driver training

  • Trade Qualifications (Preferred):Ideally, hold qualifications in electrical, carpentry, or plumbing trades. However, candidates with relevant hands-on experience demonstrating a 'handyman' capability will also be considered

  • Professionalism:Exhibit a high level of professionalism, reliability, and the ability to work effectively within a team

  • Proactive:Proactively identify and resolve issues discovered on-site, contributing to the company's smooth operations


 
£25k-£33k depending on experience
