Main responsibilities:
Accounts/Audit:
Plan, execute, and assist in the preparation and completion of accounts/audits at client's premises or at our offices for director or managerial review
Amend and update files following director or manager review
Complete periodic and statutory accounts accurately and efficiently
Execute accounts/audit preparation programs
Complete money laundering documentation as required
Ensure correct disclosures in accordance with Companies Acts
Maintain prompt and efficient work execution within allocated budgets and deadlines.
Prepare Financial Reporting Review and Benchmarking reports
Identify opportunities for improving client systems
Prioritise work, identify workload imbalances, and promptly communicate to the Director/Manager
Establish appropriate contacts with clients and their staff
Assist the Director/Manager in planning and completing accounts and audit work
Identify potential cross-selling opportunities for other products or services to be discussed with the client director
Business/Personal Tax:
Prepare business tax computations (corporate and non-corporate)
Identify disallowable expenditure
Assist in preparing P11D's
Assist/prepare draft personal tax computations or returns
Additional responsibilities:
Act in a professional manner at all times when dealing with clients and team members
Produce information for clients or team members in a timely and efficient manner, adhering to set deadlines
Promptly report any important client issues/problems to your line manager, including any money laundering suspicions
Adhere to budgets and time deadlines, ensuring the completion of work within the given time frame
Maintain a tidy working environment
Communicate messages promptly to relevant team members
Safeguard client information/records to maintain confidentiality
Maintain confidentiality by refraining from discussing client affairs outside of the office
Conduct necessary investigations and liaise with relevant authorities or organisations when required
Alert the director of any client-related problems or issues
Required skills:
Proficient in using accounting software packages such as Iris, Excel, Sage 50 accounts, and Word
Familiarity with QuickBooks, KashFlow, Xero, and other relevant software is advantageous
Qualifications and experience:
Relevant qualification in accounting or finance (e.g., ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
Prior experience working in an accountancy practice or similar environment
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
