Description
Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a well establish and global company that has been growing year on year.  Our client is currently in search for a Management Accountant to join their team on a 9-month FTC. This is an exciting opportunity to work for a global business where you can be part of a large finance team with the potential for this role to go permanent.

 



  • £38K - £45K depending on experience (pro rata’d)


  • Flexible hybrid working - 2 days in the office and 3 from home


  • Early finishes on a Friday


  • Based on the outskirts of Uckfield with free parking on site including electrical charging points


 

Job description:

 

As the Management Accountant, you will understand, review and report on all aspects of Orders, Sales, and gross margin, ensuring routine reporting, value adding analysis and regular meetings with relevant stakeholders across the business globally. The Management Accountant will also complete and review balance sheet reconciliations and play a key part in month end processes, supporting the financial controller with group reporting including:

 



  • Overhead review and analysis


  • VAT / Taxations, returns reconciliations and reporting


  • Control of inventory, fixed assets, prepayments, and accruals


  • Producing intercompany recharge invoices and monthly reconciliation of recharge account


  • Support the wider team where needed to cover AP, AR, expense claims and credit card reconciliations


  • Introduce process improvement initiatives and implement change wherever possible in End-to-End Processes


 

Key responsibilities:

 



  • Produce weekly KPI reporting and margin analysis across all companies, meeting with colleagues across the business to ensure understanding of finance transactions


  • Complete all reporting with relation to orders, sales, and margin. Becoming key user of Cognos consolidation software and Cognos reporting


  • Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations ensuring all balances are substantiated as required by the Regional Controller


  • Assist with quarterly VAT reporting, ensuring compliance with all local HMRC legislation


  • Assist with the production of monthly management accounts, including the processing of G/L journals, prepayments, accruals, and fixed assets


  • Support the Financial Controller with annual audit process


  • Play an active role in sales/purchase ledger where appropriate


  • Ensure a robust internal control environment, highlighting any control weaknesses and implementing processes that both improve efficiency and increase transparency


  • Find efficiencies across all processes, improving working spreadsheets improving control and adding more time for analysis

Person specification

 



  • Qualified ACCA or CIMA, or finalist. Or other similar accountancy qualification


  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modelling


  • Advanced IT skills across all IT hardware and software


  • Strong attention to detail, analytical and numerate


  • A flexible approach to working with strong communication skills


  • Ability to work independently as well a part of a wider team, with a willingness to help in all areas as required


  • Advanced ERP system experience


  • Knowledge on ERP software  Microsoft Dynamics 365, AX12 or IBS (desirable)


  • Process improvement / transformation experience desirable


  • Project based selling business environment a big advantage
