You'll be dealing with appointed introducers in this role, so you'll be assessing and evaluating customer credit risk through analysis and decision making under personal delegated authority level, and adhering to regulatory and internal business guidelines.
The role:
Review, and approve/decline credit proposals within individual approved credit authority
Carry out customer credit risk business and financial analysis
Document and communicate credit decisions in a clear and effective manner within set timelines
Interface with internal & external stakeholders to resolve credit related issues
Provide assistance, advice and where necessary, negotiate on deal structuring, with a view to maximising the commercial opportunity without compromising credit quality standards
Remain familiar with the credit portfolio at all times
Deal with and if necessary, escalate any identified risks in relation to consumer risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with the group risk framework
Handle telephone queries from internal sales staff and help them to maintain and exceed client's expectations
Are you the ideal candidate:
Knowledge of risk policy, systems and controls is ideal
Awareness of Retail, Conduct and Operational Risk security areas
Able to come up with structured proposal/deal acceptable to all parties
Confident in analysing and reporting on financials
Highly numerate
New business team operates a rota as follows:
Mon to Fri 9-5pm or 10-6pm - 1 day during this week will be slightly later 1-7pm (but only 1 in 4 weeks)
1 weekend in 4 you'll be rota’d to work Sat 9-5pm and Sun 10-4pm - but you get 2 lieu days Thursday and Friday off for an extended weekend
