** Ipswich based ** Hybrid working available ** Up to £20 per hour ** Temporary contract initially until October 2022, with potential to extend **
Our client, an established financial services company, are searching for a Broking System Finance Analyst to join their Broking Interface team.
The company is undergoing a broad programme of data migration and configuration activities to its primary broking system across a number of geographies.
This position has become available as a result of our client's need for additional resources to support the team, both during the migration phase of the project, and for an extended period after migration is completed.
This position will entail both routine operating tasks and participation in the project.
Key responsibilities:
Active participation in design workshops, the development of testing strategies, and user acceptability testing activities with the migration project team
Assist the BIT team with month-end broking interface activities such as metadata mappings, verification of interface process activities, and system reconciliations
Assist with the running and review of the FCA Client Money Calculation
Participate in outage investigation and resolution
Assist in process development to create efficiency for the team
Query databases and apps to deliver information to stakeholders and reply to ad-hoc requests and internal and external audit enquiries
Skills and Experience:
Proven business or systems analyst background
Knowledge of SQL databases and Oracle products
Ability to articulate complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders
Superb organisational skills and time management
Problem-solving mentality with ability to think logically but pragmatically, with strong focus on delivery and resolution
Ability and confidence to critically evaluate and challenge presented data and concepts
Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent) is advantageous
Experience with Qlikview, EasyMorph (preferable) and database interrogation tools
Familiarity with insurance broking concepts and CASS 5 (advantage)
Initiative, superlative attention to detail and flexibility
