- Lloyd Recruitment Services are working with a global manufacture who are looking to recruit a Purchasing Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.

Role Overview
The successful candidate will become a Purchasing Assistant within a small but busy Purchasing team. The job involves a variety of duties being completed on a daily, weekly & monthly basis.
As part of the Purchasing Assistant’s role, they will be managing suppliers based in Europe and the United Kingdom.
Job Specification
- Placing and confirming orders daily, following through to successful resolution on any discrepancies
- Managing stock and liaising with suppliers
- Managing personal and group inbox to ensure all enquiries/issues are followed through to resolution
- Liaising with Sales, Warehouse, Finance and Transport and handling/resolving other departmental queries
- Monitoring and chasing suppliers for stock and delivery information, and updating everyone internally
- General administrative duties, such as filing
- Updating and maintaining supplier price files
- Building/checking prices being published in the brochures
Candidate Requirements
- SAP system knowledge and experience within a purchasing environment would be useful but not essential
- Able to communicate clearly both in writing and using effective telephone skills, especially considering the majority of our suppliers are based in Europe
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office experience essential) and numerate with a keen attention to detail
- Educated to O’ Level/ GCSE English and Mathematics
- Hard working & enthusiastic. Drive and determination are essential; the candidate will need to be able to handle an environment that can be pressurised
- The successful candidate will be committed and driven with the ability to function well within a small team and individually when required
- Other key qualities include flexibility, accuracy, strong administrative skills, good organisational skills, friendliness and the ability to prioritise work and interact well with other departments
Salary: up to £22,000
Monday - Friday standard working hours
