Description
Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a reputable business in the East Grinstead area who are currently in search of an Event Sales Consultant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

 

Our client is looking for an experienced B2B sales executive to join the team. You will be working with the Business Development Manager to deliver an established series of conferences for the sector. This is a new role to expand the sales bandwidth within the events team.

 

The successful candidate will have responsibility for selling exhibition stand space and high value sponsorship packages into the conferences. The successful candidate will be required to adopt a multi-platform sales approach as needed, working closely with their colleagues to achieve the best outcome for the client and the business.

 

This will be achieved by developing new business accounts through canvassing of leads generated competitive monitoring and cold calling potential target prospects. You will also be responsible for rebooking a proportion of existing clients and growing their accounts.

 

Using consultative selling techniques to promote both exhibition and sponsorship opportunities including working collaboratively with the existing Business Development Manager and wider brand team.

Key responsibilities

 

Sales



  • Pro-actively selling sponsorship and exhibition opportunities for the portfolio of conferences


  • Meet company standards on sales as defined from time to time 


  • Achieve and exceed monthly and annual targets, maximising new business opportunities


  • Build lasting and trusting partnerships with customers by using a consultative sales approach to deliver client solutions


  • Manage and upsell existing clients by introducing them to new opportunities and formats across our portfolio


  • Negotiate commercially sound contracts for new and existing customers


 

Sales Administration



  • Deliver accurate and timely sales administration, keeping effective and up to date records on Salesforce


  • Clearly and proactively communicate key deliverables for complex sales and ensure effective delivery by working with relevant team members


  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Utilities team to grow existing business and identify opportunities for wider brand revenue growth


  • Maintain a strong sales pipeline on Salesforce through effective relationship building, call management and lead generation


 

Person specification:

 

As a Sales Consultant, you will be a self-starter with a thirst for new business who enjoys getting fully immersed in their market to drive the growth of the conference portfolio. 

 



  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years B2B sales experience using a consultative sales approach to sell high value SPEX packages


  • Proven track record of new business development and a sound understanding of sales processes


  • Demonstrates success in meeting challenging targets


  • Candidates must have excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • A consultative sales approach focused on delivering client solutions for all new and existing business and has a strong understanding of digital and/or event sales


  • Resourcefulness in finding quick and clever ways to identify leads, secure conversations and overcome difficulties


  • A collaborative approach working with the whole brand team to achieve success


  • Ability to identify and recommends opportunities for brand growth


  • Clear and literate written and verbal communication skills; the ability to deal proactively with key internal and external stakeholders and build relationships at all levels


  • A high level of integrity, driven, dynamic, focussed, approachable and positive personality


  • Aptitude to understand and develop excellent knowledge within the market


 

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + £10,000 OTE
