We have a number of opportunities with businesses in the local area, who are looking for individuals who would like to work in Underwriting.
You will need to have excellent attention to detail, able to methodically and follow processes. Highly organised, you will be a confident communicator both verbal and written.
** Salary Ranges £23k - £24500 ** Excellent Benefits and Incentives **
The Role:
Review and approve/decline credit proposals within individual approved credit authority
Assess and evaluate customer credit risk through in-depth business and financial analysis
Document and communicate credit decisions in a clear and effective manner within set timelines
Site visits where appropriate
Interface with internal & external stakeholders to resolve credit related issues
To provide assistance and advice and where necessary, negotiate on deal structuring with a view to maximising the commercial opportunity without compromising credit quality standards
Be acutely familiar with the credit portfolio
Deal with or escalate any identified risks in relation to consumer risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with the group risk framework
Acts to develop customer relationships and seeks to exceed client's expectations
Handle telephone queries from supporting dealers and internal sales staff
The Ideal Candidate:
Ability to build strong, meaningful business relationships
Ability to structure a proposal into a deal acceptable to all parties in a decisive and inquisitive manner
Highly numerate
Sound time management
Understanding the treating customers fairly principles
