- Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a global manufacturing company based in East Sussex who are looking for a Product & Innovation Manager to join their expanding team on a full-time permanent basis.
Overall job Purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to join a company who are world leading specialist in what they do and to be part of the product creation team with a specific focus on developing and managing the product innovation plan for the business. Working with the commercial teams to understand the market requirements and monitoring technology trends to identify new solutions that would differentiate the company’s products from the competitors.

Working hours: 8.30 – 17.00 with 45 min for lunch, shorter day on Friday – 8.30 – 15.45

Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the technology roadmap with the product management and NPD teams
Develop partnerships with relevant companies and bodies to ensure the business identify emerging technologies that could add value to their products
Critically evaluate new technologies to determine their applicability to the company’s products
Work with NPD to integrate new technologies into products
Develop proof of concept functions and products to demonstrate new ideas
Define and develop performance-based test plans to validate new technologies
Follow company development procedures ensuring full documentation is completed for all projects
To work within the Company’s ISO Standards and procedures
Traveling between UK and Italian office will be expected with notice
Person Specification and excellent knowledge of:
Sensors and sensing systems (structured light, stereoscopic cameras, Time of Flight, 3d Cameras, thermal imaging, capacitive sensing etc)
Internet of Things
AI / Neural network development and implementation
Electric motors preferably for automation and / or robotics
Experienced working within an NPD team
Strategy and budget management
Some knowledge/experience of:
EMC requirements and design about CE certification
Desirable
SW application development (python, java, C#, etc)
Embedded FW development (C, C++)
Lean six sigma (advantageous)
Working for a global business (advantageous)
Additional languages (advantageous)
Salary £65K - £70K plus excellent company benefits
