- Lloyd Recruitment Services are delighted to be working with an environmental services company based on the outskirts of East Grinstead who are looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Senior Accounts Assistant to join their team on a fulltime permanent basis.
This position will suit a hand on, well rounded Senior Accounts Assistant that is used to working independently.
In the future, as the Senior Accounts Assistant, you will also have the responsible for managing a small finance team. Senior Accounts Assistant duties:
Sales Invoicing
Cash allocation / Bank Reconciliation for the Group of Companies
Credit control and Debt Recovery
Purchase ledger invoice processing / Month end payments
Database Management and General Administrative duties
Providing professional customer service across the group
Payroll / HMRC Payments / Pension processing
Month end tasks including Journals / Quarterly VAT Returns
Senior Accounts Assistant key tasks:
Production and distribution of sales invoices and credit notes for the Group of Companies
Allocation of receipts to customers and supplier payments on a daily basis prior to completion of bank reconciliation for the Group of Companies
Credit checking, processing and set up of new credit accounts including regular review
Credit control and debt recovery process, liaison with legal collection companies for the Group of Companies.
Distribution and input of Direct Debit mandates, processing of returned / amended customer bank account changes
Input and electronic distribution of purchase invoices and month end payments for the Group of Companies
Liaising with customers to ensure all invoices are passed for payment and to dispute queries when they arise
Assist with weekly and monthly payroll for the Group of Companies, including internal and external payments and pensions processing
Assist with monthly, quarterly and annual financial requirements for the Group of Companies
Liaison with internal and external organisations as required by the Group
Attend internal and external meetings as required
Undertake any additional task required by Management to support the safe and effective operation of all departments within the Group of Companies
Ensure compliance of procedures as detailed within the ISO Management Systems, Company Handbooks, work instructions and policies.

In order to qualify for the role:
Possess a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience, working within a finance/credit control role
Solid experience within; Sales invoicing, Credit control, Cash Allocation/Posting, Debt recovery, Purchase ledger, Credit checking
Ideally have some experience of compliance and relevant procedures (desirable)
Have strong IT skills within the accounts arena, including Sage
MUST be a driver due to the location
