Based in Brighton 1 day a week, other day can be spent in Brighton, Wimbledon and London
Lloyd Recruitment Services are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of one of our longest standing clients - a well-established, highly professional, FTSE250 financial services organisation, that seek a Governance & Compliance Analyst to oversee best practice and provide demonstrable assurance that they maintain compliance with Data Protection and Financial Crime Prevention regulation / codes of practice.
The role holder will provide first line support for the handling of data protection enquiries / Subject Access Requests and provide practical guidance to the business as required, manage any associated risk and ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures. They will also undertake routine monitoring to ensure data protection is operating effectively, raising awareness where gaps are identified and record any incidents on BWise as necessary.
Responsibilities will also involve completing on-boarding and in life customer due diligence checks in accordance with the Financial Crime Prevention policy AML and CDD procedures. Providing assurance that they are compliant with all Sanctions, PEP’s and adverse media screening and that all existing clients are being consistently screened and any updates to CDD are completed in a timely manner.
Other duties:
Facilitate the implementation of any regulatory or policy changes across the business.
Oversee adherence to complaint handling regulations and completion of root cause analysis.

Skills & Experience Required
Experience of working with / overseeing data protection, information security and financial crime prevention regulations
Knowledge of UK data protection/privacy related regulations and practices, and Information Security Standards (ISO27001/PCI-DSS)
Ability to plan and organise workload, manage own time effectively to meet tight deadlines. Be proactive / operate on own initiative when required
Strong written & verbal communication skills and confidence engaging at all levels
Curious nature and the ability to listen, question, and understand operational and business needs
Strong stakeholder management skills
Basic to intermediate MS Office knowledge
A data fact based analytical approach to work with strong attention to detail
Confidence in business requirement gathering
Continuous improvement knowledge or experience
Knowledge of FCA regulation
Ability to write and deliver awareness presentations to the business
Evidence of expertise in process excellence and associated methodologies and embedding Continuous Improvement
UK Finance qualification to Certificate Level (obtained or studying towards)
ICA Advanced Certificate in Practical Customer Due Diligence or similar)
