Claims Advisor

 

** £12 per hour ** 6 Month Temporary Contract ** Friendly Team **

Monday - Friday only - No weekends or Bank Holidays ** Star of the Quarter ** Quarterly Team Events ** On the Spot Reward Scheme **

 

Your role will be to provide claims administration support and advice to corporate clients, their members and dependants and individual customers, as well as assisting with account queries.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 



  • Pre-authorise claims with the relevant insurer or provider on behalf of the patient.


  • Keep notes on the computer system regarding progress and claims using the scripting facility.


  • Confirm treatment eligibility to the claimant via phone, e-mail, or SMS


  • Make follow up calls to patients who have had surgery or an in-patient stay


  • Advise on the use of cash plans, dental and travel insurance policies


  • Refer to or liaise with nurses if clinical advice is required


  • Check consultant and anaesthetist fees if requested and confirm cover with the hospital


  • Resolve invoice and payment queries relating to the member


  • Assist the sales team by providing general advice and guidance about the advocate service.


  • Assist with other helpline calls on all advocate schemes


  • Liaise with insurers regarding general claims queries for advocate and healthcare concierge schemes


  • Develop a rapport with insurers and providers to promote the company as a business


 

Healthcare Concierge Accounts Queries:

 



  • Inform the Line Manager of any situations which may lead to complaints


  • Liaise with insurers and providers regarding unpaid invoices to resolve member queries, recording details on patients’ history


  • To liaise with Business Support to make payments to providers


  • Provide courteous and professional telephone assistance to callers


  • Support the Healthcare Concierge team in the provision of service to its clients
