We are pleased to be working with a well-established company based in Slough, who are recruiting a Multi-trade operative. As a Multi-trade operative, you will be ultimately answerable within any requirements set by the company. You will proactively identify good quality business opportunities whilst working with customers that value our offering who will provide the company with long term business.
The role of the job:
Carrying out maintenance works efficiently and to a high standard.
Providing a professional multi-trade service to include, but not limited to, carpentry, plumbing, wall /floor tiling whilst completing all tasks to an acceptable standard.
Delivering KPI’s whilst adhering to HSEQ requirements.
Flexibility to work within a team or alone and work tidally within residents properties.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
To develop, manage and extend commercial relationships with new and existing clients
Promoting good working relationships with clients, customers and other stake-holders.
Representing the company in a professional manner, demonstrating commercial awareness.
To promote the company’s brand.
Ensuring you are your colleagues are adhering to the company’s values.
Behaving in a manner which sets an example to others and promotes a positive attitude and environment within your team and the wider business.
Communicating effectively and professionally with fellow employees.
Assisting with apprentices training when required.
You will be fully engaged, meeting your responsibilities and delivering maximum performance.
You will putsafety and health at the heart of decision making, asking, listening and responding, creating an environment where ideas are freely expressed and lessons learnt without fear of recrimination.
Assisting schedulers and other trades with technical knowledge when required.
Assisting line managers / supervisors with day to day running of jobs.
Taking responsibility for one’s own actions and workload
To have processes in place, that you conform to and which enable maximum performance.
Producing and delivering the required operational paperwork (eg Job Sheets, Time-sheets etc)
Producing and evaluating Risk Assessments and Method Statements
Adhering to Client Health and Safety Standards and Procedures
Implementing and controlling safe work practices on site, including ensuring the correct PPE is provided and used.
Only employing processes that add value to your customers and people.
To maximise profitability.
Demonstrating commercial awareness when carrying out works and ordering material, plant and other equipment.
Completing operational paperwork in a timely fashion, to allow for completion of works.
