- Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a reputable business based in Cambridge who are currently in search of a Data & Analytics Manager to join the team on a full time permanent basis. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established company and rapidly expanding company.
The Data & Analytics Manager will work closely with leaders and decision makers throughout the organisation to support and implement high-quality data-driven decisions. You will ensure data accuracy and consistent reporting by designing and creating optimal processes and procedures for analytics employees to follow.
As an experienced data professional, you will use advanced data modelling, predictive modelling and analytical techniques to interpret key findings from company data and leverage these insights into initiatives that will support business outcomes.
The ideal applicant will apply their exhaustive knowledge of data analysis to solving real-world problems faced by our company and finding opportunities for improvement across multiple projects, teams and business units.

Key responsibilities:
Own and proactively manage the corporate dataset, including the creation and implementation of data standards and quality measures
Build, develop and maintain data models, reporting systems, data automation systems, dashboards and performance metrics support that support key business decisions
Examine, interpret and report results of analytical initiatives to stakeholders in leadership, technology, sales, marketing and product teams
Design and build technical processes to address business issues
Oversee the data/report requests process: tracking requests submitted, prioritisation, approval, etc
Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within your department and design/implement solutions to meet these needs
Manage the Document Control (DCC) function
Manage code storage and management procedures
Manage and optimise processes for data intake, validation, mining and engineering as well as modelling, visualisation and communication deliverables
Ownership of security processes governing access to and use of data
Drive future development of data analytics within the business
Organise and drive successful completion of data insight initiatives through effective management of analyst and data employees and effective collaboration with stakeholders
Work closely with Applications team to support delivery of information via various means
Qualifications and experience:
Minimum of 10 years commercial experience in a data science or BI / analytics role
Or relevant computer / data science degree plus minimum 5 years commercial experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading a small team
Manufacturing sector experience essential, ideally with exposure to technology manufacturing
Knowledge and skills:
Essential:
Relational database query languages – SQL, SAP HANA, Oracle
Data visualisation tools (Power BI preferred)
Advanced Excel skills
Analytic and statistical modelling techniques
Experience working with and creating dashboards to inform decisions
Understanding of and experience using analytical concepts and statistical techniques: hypothesis development, designing tests/experiments, analysing data, drawing conclusions, and developing actionable recommendations
Working knowledge of data mining principles: predictive analytics, mapping, collecting data from multiple data systems on premises and cloud-based data sources
Strong ability to plan and manage numerous processes, people and projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication and collaboration skills
Desirable:
Exposure to data quality frameworks (e.g. ISO8000, 22301)
Programming skills, C, C#, Python, PHP etc
Experience running a DCC function
Exposure to SAP Business One
Exposure to Oracle Agile PLM
Exposure to Atlassian Jira / Confluence products
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 DOE
