- Health and Safety Advisor – 12-month temporary contract
Working as part of the Environmental, Health and Safety team, based on site at our client’s office in Sandwich.
Primarily you’ll be working with all UK business lines, and occasionally interacting with and supporting the commercial side of the business as well.

Primary Duties:
Support and assist with incident assessment and investigation to identify improvement opportunities.
Undertake and assist with inspection and internal audit activities.
Assist with Risk Assessment and Management of Change systems.
Assist with Occupational Health monitoring conducted by others
Able to conduct basic in-house Occupational Health monitoring tasks, such as noise monitoring.
Deliver a range of existing basic training courses and awareness campaigns.
Attend Dept. and Business line Environment, Health and Safety Committee meetings, promoting initiatives and requirements.
Basic data entry, analysis and review, including preparation of simple performance reports to identify trends and continuous improvement opportunities.
Support to key Health and Safety focus areas, promotions, and campaigns.
Up keeping the maintenance of relevant elements of the UK Environment, Health and Safety management System and SharePoint site.
Documentation management; review and updating procedures, policies and guidelines in relation to Health and Safety.
Liaising with Health and Safety Colleagues and Contingent Workers on relevant matters where required.
Support and assistance to Environment and Sustainability programmes where required.
Occasional need may arise to travel to one of the other UK locations to provide on-site support if required.
Training / Qualifications:
NEBOSH
National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent
Pharmaceutical, Chemical Research or Development or Laboratory sector experience would be preferred
