- Lloyd recruitment services are pleased to be working with a growing manufacturer on the outskirts of Horley who are looking to recruit for a Buyer to join their expanding team.
Location: Near Horley, Surrey - must drive to location, ideally living within 40-minute drive.
A desire to develop a career in Buying
Salary between £20k - £40k depending on experience
Monday to Friday 8:30am- 17:00pm
Opportunities to progress
Please note- must have full UK drivers' licence and own vehicle due to location
Duties include:
Sourcing components – mainly from Far East
Negotiating prices
Purchasing components
Shipping/Logistics – working with our agents and factories
Supplier Management – Far East suppliers; both components and finished products
Raising Purchase orders through Sage 50 Accounts
Understanding critical paths to ensure components and goods will arrive on time.
Checking packaging artwork to ensure agreement with ingredient lists and safety data sheets.
Managing samples
Ensuring testing of products and all related documents are managed
The Ideal Candidate:
Highly administrative, professional, and organised.
Excellent at multi-tasking, effective time management skills and an ability to manage/prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment
5 years + buying experience
Worked with Far East suppliers
Meticulous attention to detail
Works well under pressure
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent communication skills to all levels of the business
Sage experience is beneficial, but not essential
Strong interest in home products and trends
Must have experienced sourcing components to make finished product
Full UK Driving Licence
£20k - £40K depending on experience
Monday to Friday 8:30am- 17:00pm
