Are you available to start ASAP for an on-going temporary contract?
Can you get to Dorking on a daily basis – free onsite parking available?
Working as part of a small team, at my clients Head Office, you will be assisting in maintaining and controlling the purchase ledger, including supplier invoicing, personal expenses, the fixed asset register, month-end processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and controls.
Key Accountabilities:
Processing all supplier invoices and personal expense claims within service standards.
Ensure all supplier invoices are correctly coded and match authorised Purchase Orders
Review all expense claims in line with company guidelines for authorising.
Prepare accrual, prepayment, and other month-end journals checking these back to supporting documentation.
Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring that any reconciling items are understood and cleared in a timely manner
Support the Fixed Asset process, ensuring that assets are set up correctly and depreciated in line with Company policy
Reconciliation of Supplier statements back to the GL balances, investigating any differences
Run daily settlement payment runs for payment of Supplier invoices
The Ideal Candidate:
Proven Purchase Ledger experience
The role holder will require a basic accounting knowledge and be jointly responsible for the maintenance of the Purchase Ledger and the associated controls
Intermediate level Excel skills and experience of other Microsoft Office products.
Good knowledge of P2P systems and processes - Workday experience is an advantage but not essential
Attention to detail and well organised
Works well in a small team with the ability to learn new processes and systems quickly
