The Loan Management Assistant is responsible for effectively managing multiple client cases throughout the case life cycle while ensuring excellent customer service is delivered throughout. The role also requires debt recovery to be achieved in a timely manner and a key aspect of this position is to develop strong relationships with Solicitors / Partners and Clients to ensure cases are effectively resolved. Advising clients and Solicitors of their obligations to us in terms of credit agreement/global terms is also vital.
Each loan on the family book will be assigned to a member of the team to manage from initial acceptance to full repayment, tracking different drawdown requests and progress of the case we have lent against.
Assist running the loan book for consumer credit lending to have a full understanding at any point on the total debt situation for your clients
Keeping fully up to speed with all our loans to minimise bad debt
Chasing borrowers and solicitors for case updates for all loans
Ensuring all parties are complying with the terms of their agreements
Record all case statuses for all clients on the lending system
Understand consumer credit act default and termination procedure
Weekly update with company solicitor for terminated cases
Take responsibility to identify and implement system improvements
Skills and experience required for the role:
Previous administrative and customer service experience is essential, ideally gained within the financial services/banking, insurance, credit control/debt recovery, or legal fields, however this is not essential.
Strong communication (written and spoken) and interpersonal skills are essential, applicants must have gained previous experience of dealing with a diverse range of customers over the phone, including handling complaints and difficult situations.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate a high level of organisation and accuracy/attention to detail and time management skills. They must also be highly IT literate and the role will require use of Excel, Word, Outlook, and the client’s bespoke platform.
