- Lloyd Recruitment Services are seeking an SHEQ Advisor to join an established company in Thames Ditton.
Do you have experience of working within a quality standard framework, including the performance of quality audits?
Have you gained a good knowledge of quality and environment systems, as well as health and safety legislation (if from the vehicle industry sector even better)?
Based at their Head Office, you’ll be reporting directly to the Operations Director and working closely with the site management teams around the UK. Helping to deliver the SHEQ strategy and be at the forefront of continuous improvement with the business.
Key areas:
Drive and improve Health & Safety standards across the company to meet 18001 standards and work towards gaining 18001 accreditations.
Drive and improve Environmental /sustainability standards meeting ISO 14001 standards.
Drive and improve industry accreditations.
Support the Ops Director to develop the quarterly SHEQ Communication Strategy for all sites and levels of staff.
Advise line management on any SHEQ issues, and assist with implementation of new or improvement to existing SHEQ related legislation rules and company standards to include fire prevention, health and safety awareness training and site inspections. Helping with the production and delivery of strategic plans for SHEQ performance.
Statistical analysis in order to identify issues of concern and creation of action plans and assist/lead in the investigation and management of incidents.
Advise on areas such as root causation, preventative measures etc
Manage and review business continuity plans.
Mentor and develop SHEQ Champions, as well as deliver SHEQ training.
Participate in tendering processes.
Monitor health and safety inspections.
Risk assessments.
Ensure internal audit processes are in place and adequate for purpose. Carry out internal audits and reports accordingly.
Maintain and oversee environmental documentation including permits and licenses.
