- Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a local, well establish company in East Grinstead who are in search of a Customer Service Apprentice to join their team.
The Customer Service Apprentice's responsibilities will include learning and developing practical skills, participating in classes and workshops on and offsite, observing all health and safety codes, completing tests and assignments as set out in the apprenticeship programme.
The Apprentice will join the After Sales team and will be focused on customer service. The Apprentice will support the customer spares department which will include quotations, orders, pricing, deliveries, logistics and documentation control. The role is required to be flexible, and will require organisational and communication skills along with customer management skills.
The role will be varied and you'll be making sure that customers are dealt with in a positive, reliable and pleasant way.
Duties include:
Raising quotations and orders
Checking stock availability
Answering incoming calls for the Support Manager
Making outbound calls to customers via telephone and email communications
Assisting within other departments when required
Ensure a safe working environment
Support any H&S activity within the organisation
Complete spares quotations and orders using company computer system *ERP – MOVEX’
Talk to customers and distributors with updates regarding their orders
Work on customer account management using spreadsheets for live orders
Carry out regular communications within the factory
Learn other aspects of customer service activity including documentation control and logistics
Support training activity for the regional offices
Attend college as per defined apprenticeship programme (20% of the job training)
Maintain a working log book for review during apprenticeship

Desired qualifications:
Maths – Grade 4 (C) or above or equivalents
English – Grade 4 (C) or above or equivalents
Future prospects:
Continued support and development within the Aftersales team
In-house training daily on using Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Complete Training on MOVEX (our in-house computer system)
Things to consider:
The course will be held at Crawley College
40hrs per week, Monday – Thursday 8am – 4.30pm, Friday – 8am – 4pm
Salary: £200 per week
