- Lloyd Recruitment Services are pleased to be working with a working with a large, well established media company based in East Croydon who are looking for a Business Partnering Accountant to join their team.
Reporting directly to the Head of Business Partnering, and working alongside another Business Partnering Accountant, key duties would include:
Month end reporting, ensuring timely and accurate production of management reporting, with detailed analysis of major variances against budgets and forecasts
Production of forecasts and budgets working in support of commercial business
Business Partnering including decision support for divisional Managing Directors
Assisting with finance integration of acquisitions and implementation of new systems and business processes
Part qualified or finalist with strong accounting skills and experience.
Produce monthly Management Accounts and KPI’s for business media and consumer media brands - magazines, events and conferences
Produce forecasts and budgets for the above
Business partner to business MD’s
Improve & maintain systems & business processes. Identify efficiencies, cost saving opportunities and revenue enhancing opportunities
Assisting in integrating new businesses
Based in our Croydon office with occasional travel to our other offices Shoreditch and Gunnersbury (the cost of travel between offices will be reimbursed)
Essential skills:
Part Qualified (CIMA, ACA or ACCA) Graduate Accountant
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in commerce and industry
Media experience, ideally in publishing or similar, strongly desired
Bright, keen, proactive self-starter with a passion for improving systems and processes, identifying efficiencies, cost saving opportunities and revenue enhancing opportunities
Commercial, interested in business and in adding value to commercial managers thinking
Experience of liaising with non-finance staff and building relationships
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Logical thinker with good problem solving abilities
Hard working, organised and efficient with a passion for the detail
Excellent Excel skills
Calm under pressure with prior experience of producing high quality work to deadlines
Good team player & strong inter-personal skills
Desirable skills:
1st time passes in accountancy exams
Academic (e.g. 2.1 degree or above)
