- Lloyd recruitment services are pleased to be working with a reputable East Grinstead based company. They currently have a requirement for a Journalist to join their team.
Responsibilities:
Devising features and news ideas
Writing tight news and feature stories
Sub-editing peer work
Assisting in page layout and passing proofs to press
Attending trade shows, seminars and other industry events
Populating web sites and social media with content
Key tasks:
Achieve editorial deadlines as per the production schedule
Produce news for the magazine and website, follow up news releases, focus news items on agency and client activities
Update news, blogs, venue update and movers sections on the company website with a daily minimum of three news stories
To plan, research and write tight features to deadline
Source photography and/or brief graphic designers to source images
Execute proof reading of online and print copy to ensure highest possible degree of accuracy
Manage personal job/travel diary and time
Devise ideas for features, surveys and off-diary news items
Attend monthly staff meetings and issue review meetings
Attend monthly issue meetings with advertising team to discuss editorial plans
Attend industry events (trade shows, international events and evening functions)
Use social media to share web news and interact with readership
Salary of £28K plus 25 days holiday and bank holidays
