Description
Lloyd Recruitment Services are recruiting for a Data Manager to work for a leading international B2B events organisation. The role is heading up the data team across the UK & Global region, managing a small team and one overseas employee.

 

The ideal candidate will have solid experience of data laws (GDPR, international data laws preferable, but not essential), compliance and data governance.

 



  • Responsible for Visitor & Exhibitor Data Plan creation & implementation for all assigned events; in depth analysis, identify gaps, coordinate qualification, enrichment & updates of data; plan & coordinate validation, import & mapping


  • Main point of contact for data providers, provide analysis & advice to teams


  • Oversight of & guidance on data quality and usage across all sales & marketing: databases, email system, marketing activities - ensuring overall quality


  • Identify system errors and work with operators and suppliers to implement new system developments to improve system/database quality


  • Guardian of all data practices, ensuring all data polices, practices, procedures comply with all global data protection laws & regulations


 

Experience required:

 



  • Analytical, with understanding of how data insight can contribute to the development of shows and the business


  • Ability to develop the insight provided to the events


  • Good communicator, able to present to senior director level both at local and group level, and have strong, considered and evidence-based opinions with staff at all levels


  • Organised, strong leader, ability to work quickly and accurately


  • Experience of managing staff


  • Instrumental in the development of group’s new data platform, so strong technical knowledge of database systems


  • Strong IT skills including: Excel, Access, PowerPoint


 

In order to qualify for the role candidates must have a solid background in data ideally gained from the media/events industry (Not essential)

 

 

Salary £34K - £40K (DOE) + 10% - 20% bonus
