We are recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer to join the growing bids team of a well-established property maintenance and installation organisation based in the heart of Leatherhead.

Working across public and private sector opportunities, including housing associations, local authorities, commercial landlords and property owners, you'll play a key role in securing new and repeat business through the development of high-quality, compelling and compliant tenders and proposals.

This is an excellent opportunity for a strong writer who enjoys research, stakeholder engagement and developing persuasive content that helps win business.

Your key areas will include:

• Bid strategy and opportunity qualification


• Tender and proposal writing


• Stakeholder engagement and information gathering


• Bid governance, compliance and quality assurance


• Bid knowledge library management and continuous improvement


• Market research and competitor analysis


• Business development and marketing support


• Bid administration and tender portal management oversight

Key responsibilities:

• Write compelling, tailored tender responses and proposals for new and existing clients.


• Support the qualification of tender opportunities, helping identify key win themes and differentiators.


• Coordinate bid plans, deadlines and stakeholder contributions to ensure timely submissions.


• Gather technical, operational and commercial information from internal teams.


• Review submissions to ensure compliance, accuracy, quality and professionalism.


• Maintain bid records, action logs and submission outcomes.


• Contribute to the development and maintenance of a bid content library, case studies and reusable content.


• Conduct market and competitor research to support bid positioning.


• Assist with proposal presentations, communications and wider business development activities.


• Support continuous improvement initiatives through lessons learned and feedback reviews.

 You'll need:

• Excellent written English and the ability to produce clear, persuasive and engaging content.


• Outstanding attention to detail and proofreading skills.


• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.


• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.


• Strong research and analytical capabilities.


• Confidence using Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.


• Experience using tender portals, online systems and document management tools.


• A proactive and solution-focused approach.
