Sales Executive – Freight Forwarding


Location: Remote (within 30 miles of East Grinstead)


Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE plus commission


About the role


Lloyd Recruitment is working with a growing logistics business that provides air, sea, and road freight solutions across the United Kingdom and internationally. They are looking to hire a Sales Executive who can generate new business and play a key part in their continued growth.


This is a new business role with a clear focus on winning clients. You will be responsible for identifying opportunities, making initial contact, and building relationships from scratch. The role will involve a mix of outbound calls, virtual meetings, and face-to-face client visits, so you need to be comfortable engaging with people at all levels.


You will have the freedom to manage your own time and approach, but you will also be expected to take ownership of your results. The business has a strong operational team in place, so once you bring in opportunities, you will be supported with pricing, solutions, and delivery. This allows you to stay focused on what you do best, which is developing business and growing accounts.


This role would suit someone who enjoys the chase, is motivated by targets and commission, and wants to build something long term rather than just maintain existing accounts.


Key Responsibilities



  • Generating new business across air, sea, and road freight

  • Targeting import and export clients across the United Kingdom

  • Making outbound calls, attending meetings, and meeting decision-makers

  • Building and maintaining long-term client relationships

  • Working with internal teams to create pricing and service solutions

  • Managing and developing your own pipeline of opportunities 


The Candidate



  • Experience selling freight forwarding services or a strong background in sales

  • Confident communication skills, both on the phone and in person

  • Self-motivated and able to work without close supervision

  • Comfortable working remotely

  • Driven and motivated by commission and results
