£28,500 (DOE) Plus bonus

Lloyd Recruitment Services are currently seeking a Yard Operative to join a growing and dynamic business based in East Grinstead.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, hands-on individual who enjoys working outdoors and being part of a friendly, supportive team. You’ll play an important role in ensuring customers receive their orders accurately and on time while helping maintain safe and efficient yard operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick and pack materials accurately for customer orders
- Safely load and unload vehicles using a forklift
- Organise and manage stock, ensuring correct labelling and storage
- Process paperwork and stock updates using internal systems
- Keep the yard and warehouse clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety standards
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients or delivery drivers
- Support colleagues in other areas of the logistics operation as required
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or yard environment
- Forklift licence (counterbalance) or willingness to be trained
- Strong work ethic with a positive, can-do attitude
- Reliable and punctual, with good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work outdoors and handle physical tasks
- Basic IT literacy for processing orders and stock records
- Full UK driving licence and own transport (due to site location)
