HR Advisor
Tonbridge £35,000 – £40,000 per annum
Full-time, office-based
Lloyd Recruitment Services is delighted to partner with a respected organisation, who are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their established team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and knowledgeable HR professional to take ownership of a standalone generalist role, supporting both management and employees across all aspects of HR. You’ll play a key part in maintaining a positive, inclusive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with UK employment legislation.
Duties of the HR Advisor:
- Maintaining and updating HR policies, procedures, and the staff handbook
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant employment legislation
- Acting as the main point of contact for HR queries from staff and management
- Supporting recruitment activities, including interviewing and issuing offer letters and employment contracts
- Conducting reference and right-to-work checks
- Managing employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, maternity, absence, and leaver administration
- Providing guidance on employee relations matters such as disciplinaries and conflict resolution
- Maintaining accurate employee records and HR databases
- Supporting performance management, appraisals, and payroll information
- Monitoring salary benchmarking, holiday, absence, and overtime records
- Assisting with health and safety policy updates and compliance
- Staying informed on legislative changes and best HR practice
Key skills/experience:
- CIPD Level 5 qualification
- Previous experience in a standalone HR generalist position
- A solid understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters
