Are you an experienced and highly organised individual with a passion for providing excellent administrative support? Are you a customer-focused individual with, ideally, a background in the medical field?


If so, then we have the role for you...


Our prestigious client is looking for an experienced Medical Secretary/PA to join a small and friendly team based in rural Chelwood Gate.


This role will see you playing a crucial part in ensuring smooth operations and delivering exceptional patient care. You will be the first point of contact by phone and email for patients and medical staff across the London and Sussex practice and will be dealing with clinical and medicolegal enquiries, patient appointments, diary management for clinical and medicolegal cases, and liaison with patients, GPs, surgical colleagues, and solicitors.


You will also have partial responsibility for billings for the plastic surgical practice, including processing invoices, taking payments, liaising with insurance companies, and chasing up late payments.


To be considered for this role, you will:



  • Be a customer-focused individual with an excellent telephone manner, with the ability to respond to a wide variety of enquiries with kindness and empathy at all times.

  • Have the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while ensuring work is completed to a high standard with strong attention to detail.

  • Ideally have knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and documentation requirements.

  • Have the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical and professional standards.

  • Be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and able to work independently as well as part of a team.

  • Knowledge of Practice Manager/Carebit software would be an advantage.

  • Previous experience within a Medical PA or Secretary role in a medical setting is preferable.
