Main Purpose of the Job:
As a Technical Sales Executive, your main responsibility will be to guide clients through the technical sales process. From initial inquiries to selecting the perfect product for their requirements, you will provide comprehensive product training and support. With your expertise, you will ensure a seamless experience from advice and quoting to order processing and manufacturing.
Key Requirements:
Proven technical sales background, catering to the construction, architecture, quantity surveying, and building industries
Experience in selling products to both B2B and B2C customers
Demonstrated success in generating new sales and managing accounts effectively
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical design drawings
Ability to showcase technical products both verbally and practically
Skill in transforming customers' visions into practical solutions within the product scope
Target-driven with excellent time management skills
Computer literate, specifically in Microsoft packages: Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as CRM systems
Ability to efficiently take basic site measurements and provide accurate quotations
Duties and Responsibilities:
Handle incoming calls and emails from customers, ensuring prompt and professional responses
Utilise an internal ERP system to record and track all quotes and orders, maintaining organised records
Efficiently qualify incoming leads, swiftly eliminating inquiries not aligned with our product offerings
Conduct product demonstrations to potential customers in the showroom, showcasing the advantages of our offerings
Record customer details on the ERP system, generate quotations, and provide comprehensive technical advice
Collaborate with the technical, manufacturing, and quality departments to ensure accurate translation of client requirements
Experience Required:
Proven track record in a technical sales role, demonstrating successful sales generation and account management
Experience in showcasing technical products either in a showroom or at customer premises
Skills Required:
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, allowing for effective phone conversations and email correspondence with customers
Targeted sales approach, converting opportunities to increase product sales and offering effective solutions within our product scope
Ability to identify cross-selling opportunities for other products
Salary £24k plus OTE £15k
