 Role Overview:
 
 As the Travel Operations Manager, you will be at the forefront of managing the operational aspects of high-value tour operations. This strategic role requires a dynamic leader with extensive travel industry experience to ensure the successful delivery of outstanding tours and maintain the highest standards of customer service.

 Key Responsibilities:
 
 
 Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of business and product managers
 Work collaboratively to achieve and exceed sales, revenue, and margin targets.
 Maintain rigorous cost control over commercial expenditure to optimise profitability.
 Innovate and develop new product ranges, staying abreast of industry trends.
 Implement pricing and margin strategies to ensure competitiveness and meet contribution targets.
 Oversee the selection, development, and negotiation of commercial agreements with suppliers.
 Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting formats to monitor and enhance Tour Operations performance.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Product Management & Development:
 
 
 Lead teams in continuous development and enhancement of products
 Agree upon annual product, brochure, and contracting plans
 Conduct regular product reviews and sessions for ongoing refinement
 Foster strong relationships with external suppliers to ensure product quality and support
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Promotion, Communications & Research:
 
 
 Oversee the development and execution of comprehensive marketing plans
 Manage the production and presentation of online content and brochures to drive engagement
 Promote Tour Operation products internally and externally, building strong stakeholder relationships
 Represent Tour Operation products at industry events, exhibitions, and conferences
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Legal & Corporate Compliance:
 
 
 Ensure all Tour Operations services comply with prevailing legislation in all operating markets
 Regularly review and update Terms & Conditions for each product
 Implement and oversee the Health & Safety process for all Tour Operation products
 
 
 
 
 
 
 Skills and Experience:
 
 
 Substantial operational management experience within the travel industry
 Exceptional leadership and motivational management skills
 Proven commercial acumen with a creative approach to developing new business
 Direct knowledge of packaged flight and tour operations, including experience with ABTA & ATOL bonding
 Experience in project management with multi-functional teams
 Previous success in managing and developing reservation & tour operation systems
 Proven track record of successful team leadership
 Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 Strong numerical ability
 Flexible attitude to working in a dynamic environment

 The role is based on the outskirts of Tunbridge Wells. Must be driver due to location
